Daddy and Mommy get-away.

8 days in Florida with my incredible husband and best friend. Can't put in words how amazing this week was so I'll let the pictures do most of the talking. I love you, Brett.

Walking the Disney Boardwalk before dinner and fireworks at the Polynesian Resort. (The nights we were in Orlando we scheduled dinners at the Grand Floridan, Polynesian, and The Contemporary...Scoping out which hotel we'd want for our big family Disney World vacay that will be down the road at some point. Those hotels are insanely ridiculous.)

Movie night and fireworks on the beach.

(Pic out of order as you can see from our tans) This was our last day grabbing lunch in Downtown Disney before heading to the airport.

Window view from our living room (1 of 3 pools). We requested to be in the non-kid area pools. ;) PCA put us up in an amazing place.

 Paddle-boarding on Lake Brian

Ha. I felt confident enough in my skills to bring my iPhone on the board with me.  Probably not the smartest but I didn't fall in or drop it!

Jet skiing. Definitely one of our favorite activities.

Siesta Key. The water was incredibly warm and the sand is the softest I've ever felt. Anxious to get back.

Salt Life. :)

So relaxed.

Catching the sunset.

Our little beach house a block from the ocean.

Morning walk on the beach/pier.

Salty kisses.

One of our favorite local places. Best Mexican food and margaritas you'll find.

Almost didn't seem real having so much interaction with Tim McGraw. We had front row seats, got multiple handshakes, high fives, and even his guitar pick. He put on an awesome PRIVATE concert. And if you know me you know that he is and has been my favorite artist since I can remember so YES, I was in heaven!

What?! Dinner at 11:30 at night?! I guess that's what happens when you have no responsibilities and kids to head home to. (We also did multiple midnight swims.)

Brett not very "country" with his Nikes.

What I did for 3 days while Brett was at his conference: Slept in, laid out, drank yummy drinks, and read. Spoiled rotten and I was never bored. The 3 days actually flew.

One morning I was up to see Brett off at 6:30, snap a sunrise photo and go back to bed. ;)

Breakfast on our balcony. Scoping out my lounge chair for the day. :) Rough.

Fun ice bar where the ENTIRE bar, seats, walls, even your glass are all ice. Going from 90 degrees to 15 degrees was quite the shock to the body.

So thankful for all the alone time, intimate conversations, setting goals and what we want for our future, and family. Getting to connect on this level is such a gift. I love that we are almost always on the same page, love being with each other and are completely jealous for each others time and attention. It will be a while till this happens again and are 'ready' for lots of separation again. Brett's new role has him in Denver for a week at a time typically every other week indefinitely. If you know him you know he works 10-12hrs a day already and is starting his Masters this coming January (knocking it out in one year.) We joke and say "see you in 2016". Praying that we aren't overwhelmed, but sometimes I wonder how he'll do it with so much on his plate. Thankful for his job and how it provides, and how much he's grown in his career. His hard work pays off...we just don't like him working to death and we LIKE having him around. Very curious where we will end up home wise and anxious to know what state will be our home. I don't like being in this "transition" stage. Thankful I have a God I can rely on, who is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow!

A HUGE thank you to my parents for watching the boys this entire week we were gone!!!!!!!!
Signing off.
