Colorado/Kansas
The little boys and I stayed in Colorado for a week after we got back from Florida. (Brett was able to fly down on the 2nd and stay through the 6th). He headed up to Denver the 6th and had to work up there the whole week. My mom and I drove to Kansas/Nebraska so I could see both sets of my Grandparents and the boys could play on the FARM! They are in boy heaven there, and it's so much fun letting them explore and get as messy as they want! Time with my family always means so much and I'm incredibly fortune to have such a rock solid family that loves the Lord and is always so supportive and encouraging.. They are a joy be around and I love making memories with them.
It hardly ever happens but when it does..it makes my heat smile seeing ALL 4 of us in the same picture. Happy Independence Day!!
Don't know how girls do it without sisters...
Lucas' first sparkler!
This kid is amazing.
Aunt Stephy and Luke at the Monument parade. He wasn't a fan of the loud firetruck sirens so she was the sweet aunt that kept his ears covered...pretty much the whole parade.
Carter and Lucas.
Late birthday celebration sundaes for Steph.
Second cousins? Lucas and Joshua.
Cousin love.
Enjoying treats we brought back from Florida.
Beating the heat and bowling.
Sara, my cousin and the girl responsible for always keeping me up all hours of the night during holidays or any family get-together's and made them so fun for me. She's more like a sister to me, 3 months younger but somehow when it was my birthday everyone celebrated her like it was hers too!!! The miles keep up far apart but anytime we're together it's like nothing has changed. We were in each others weddings, LAUGH at the most ridiculous things, and can turn anytime into a GOOD TIME! I love this girl to pieces and I've been scheming a way for her husband to bring her to UT from MN!! We loved watching our little boys interact together...it brought back lots of old memories of when we were little! They even took baths in granny's big tub together! HA!
Garden of The Gods hike.
These two are adorable.
Crew that went hiking. We had cousins, aunts and uncles from Minnesota and Chicago join us in CO over the 4th. A total of 19 in 2 houses!
Fargo's!
Lucas was obsessed with all the BIG machines on the farm. He still talks about the combine and tractors and demands I show him the pictures I have on my phone.
Yummy mulberry picking.
4-wheel rides with mom.
Tire and sack swings.
Sweetie.
Uncle Harlan and Micah (bailing?).
Grandaddy's garden.
Late night combining with Uncle Kenny.
Nana and Uncle Kenny taking them on rides.
Kansas sunset.
Uncle Kenny and Lucas in the back of the wheat truck completely full of harvest!
This was such a fun experience for the boys. I love when they get quality time with my family. Micah will totally have memories of this...maybe even Lucas. Four wheeler, tractor and combine rides. Apricot and mulberry picking, tire swings, bugs galore, egg collecting, riding through pastures in the back of a pick-up, playing in the back of a wheat truck full of wheat/"sand" and fire flies. These were a few of their favorite things. I should add Lucas won't stop saying Uncle Kenny and Uncle Harlan.
