"TWO-DOODLES'

Well, my baby is two. Not sure how I feel about that, but this stage is so fun. He is doing and saying the funniest things that constantly have us laughing. I sure miss the baby stage but this one is so darn cute. We had a little party here with the family. My mom was able to celebrate with us. They actually share a birthday, it was double the excitement and fun!

Looking quite big!

Birthday kids and their donuts.

He is pretty crazy about Nana.

Tried my hand at making my first Lemon Meringue pie. It was a hit! And a dessert I could actually eat! It's been a while! (This was for my mom's bday...I was supposed to make it for her when she came out 2 years ago for her birthday but I ended up going into labor the day before! Making up for it!)

My mom and I headed out for Pedicures in the afternoon before the party started. Caroline and Ellie were able to join us but we couldn't talk Ellie into getting one. She watched us get pampered.
My mom is here all week actually. I have thoroughly enjoyed her company and help. She is amazing with the kids and makes my load so much lighter. We had fun playing up in Park City yesterday, did some shopping, grabbed lunch up there and then headed to Murray so she could take Micah to the Lego store. She's let me sleep in, cooks dinner, watches the boys so I can get stuff done, workout or whatever. This morning she had breakfast going before I was even up. She's my evening walking partner. Ugh! I will miss her when she's gone. She has such a servants heart, and is incredibly encouraging. After we pick up Micah from school today we plan to head to the movies and catch the Disney Bears movie with the boys.

I'm not much of a party planner and am cheap...I mean frugal when it comes to spending money on something you'll once. Everything was from the dollar store or something I printed free from the computer. Turned out cute! And fun to be slightly creative even though that is not my strong suit.

I blame Brett and the Disney park adventures he's had this last year for Lucas' Mickey ('bajew') obsession. He spots him any and everywhere. It was a pretty easy, cute and fun theme so I'll take it! Lucas LOVED IT! We heard "bajew" a thousand times that day. He says Mickey now but Micah and I still encourage him to say it the way he used to.

My mom helped me tackle this bad boy. I started and she finished. She is much better than I am at decorating cakes!!

Let's party!

Caleb and Micah. (My sad attempt at Mickey drinks)

All decked out in his Mickey shirt, Mickey shorts and Mickey flip flops from Nana. She also got him Mickey P.j's and both aunts got him Mickey apparel. I think his wardrobe is stocked! ;)

So funny how all the kids get into the gift opening!!

Of course I have to do a little throw back. So crazy and hard to believe how fast these 2 years went. Thankful I get to be his mommy and have all these precious memories with him.

Meeting.
Getting ready to take him home!
3 days old (The hair is amazing).

Oh Lucas James, you bring so much joy to our family. You are such a wonderful gift and the perfect addition to our family. We love watching you mimic EVERYTHING your big brother does. It makes me quite sad how you want to be so much bigger and older than you actually are. You have such a tender heart and love your family. You are still such a smiley child. You hate seeing your brother go to school and want so badly to go with him. You hate when we leave, or have to drop you off in nursery. Attached to us yes, but do we love it? YES! You give the best snuggles and give kisses freely (most the time I don't even have to ask). Your deep belly laugh is contagious and you still melt strangers off the street with your huge dimple. You are still obsessed with routine, and try crazy stuff your brother tries to teach you but with much more caution than he has ever shown. We pray as you get older you have a hunger and thirst for your creator. You were made in His image. You are so precious and loved so much. Never forget that. We are so proud of you. All our love, Mommy and  daddy.
