Trips!

Brett had a work retreat this weekend in Park City and spouses were encouraged to come. My mom graciously offered to fly out and watch the boys for us. We were totally pampered all weekend and I actually love and have gotten close to many of the people Brett work with. 

 We stayed at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel. The suite we were given was amazing.

We got there Thursday afternoon. That night Brett and I got to have a nice dinner together, and met up with some of his colleagues afterwards. When we got back to our room the hotel had sent a s'more kit to us. We headed down for some mallow roasting, pool and hot tub time. I haven't stayed up till 1 in a couple years and this month is making up for it!!!

Friday Brett had meetings so his company sent us to the spa for the day to get sea weed wraps, and massages.. Stacey has become one of my closet friends here so it was super fun getting to do all this with her. We met up with the boys for lunch, then headed to the gym, and laid by the pool in the afternoon. That night all 8 couples had a big dinner together and closed the place down. It has been a sweet surprise to see how well Brett is LOVING his job and the people he works for/ with.

 Brett flew to Spokane with his sister. His Grandma Vida passed away. He was able to be there for her memorial and we are very thankful for that. He enjoyed getting to see family he hasn't seen in years. She was a sweetheart and will be missed by many. The picture below is of her holding Micah when he was 4 weeks old. Micah has two very distinct dimples unlike Brett and Lucas'. They are just like Vida's. She's the only other one in the family that had them so I credit her for my sons too cute for words smile.    

Viva Las Vegas! At the beginning of the month I got to head to Vegas with four of my dearest friends. We all got to have a Momma's weekend away!  Last year This group of girls and I took a trip to Scottsdale together for a girls weekend. It was such a hit we've decided to make it an annual thing. I am so blessed by these ladies and consider each of them such a gift.  This trip we seemed to never stop laughing, I love how we can share our hearts with no judgement and after being away from them for a year we pick up right where we left off (maybe even closer).

 

I was keeping my eyes peeled for him all weekend!

This trip made me very homesick for them! 

Our last night it's tradition to get all dolled up and eat at a nice restaurant. So fun getting ready all together! Aren't they gorgeous?!

I should also add that Brett and the boys took a road trip and stayed the weekend in Boise while I was in Vegas. I have no pictures to post. Brett had a great time staying with his parents and catching up with lots of old friends!
