March Madness
Our first 10 days were spent in Florida and then it was Turners weekend here! Brett and Kevin went night skiing Friday and all day Saturday (Wolf Mountain and Snowbasin). Friday morning we took the kids to Discovery Gateway, Brett was able to take a half day and we met him for lunch at In N Out. We had gorgeous weather so the kiddos played outside a ton. Saturday, Morgan and I braved the aquatic center with all 4 boys. They all LOVED it! So fun having Micah's Idaho buddies here. They were such sweethearts and makes me incredibly grateful to have close friends like that.
4 hours at the pool!
Horrible picture but it's the only one from Discovery.
Saturday night the boys sent us out for girls night. Shopping and dinner. Love spending quality time with this girl and so thankful we can pick up right where we left off.
St. Patrick's Day cuties
Micah update: He is still all about Legos. He even blows Brett away sometimes with all the ones he puts together ages 7-12. He doesn't want our help and is quite the perfectionist when it comes to building them and OCD with his pieces and how he positions them all in his Lego cupboard. He spends hours in there. When not building Lego's you can find him riding around out front on his big bike. He taught himself how to ride a bike without training wheels. He's always been Mr. Independent and I have a feeling that will NEVER change. It drives us crazy at times but we love and admire his courageous heart.
Lucas update: He is talking so much more than he used to...when HE wants. He has now become a mommas boy after a year of always choosing dad over me. He is my little shadow and shouts at me when I leave a room. He loves crawling out of his crib even with it flipped around, and can get out of his room. I was hoping with the knobs we had in this house it would take him a while to figure out but nope! He has free reign to everything here. YIKES! His heart is tender and he hates getting in trouble. We love what a snuggler he is!
The last week of March my sister and nephews flew out for their spring break. It was a fast and incredibly busy 8 days! Saturday we had girls day and got to do some shopping while Brett generously watched all 4 kids solo. During the week we hit up the pool, Hill Aerospace, Discovery Gateway, rock climbing, Red Iguana, bowling, and had Lego day. Micah's peak was of course Lego day and getting to have a sleep over with his cousins. His pit was "when they had to go".
Priceless expressions
This was Lucas' first time bowling and oh my goodness! How ADORABLE it was to watch him. He was all about it and loved pushing the ball off the ramp with great anticipation to see how many he would knock over. As soon as the pins were knocked over he'd do a happy dance and sprint to get the next ball. He actually was super patient waiting for his turn and probably even beat big brother in that department.
This girl kept me up way too late many nights talking . It was great catching up with her and having her around. Our evening walks and coffee runs together were a highlight for sure. Love ya, sis!
