Florida 2014
We were able to take our annual Florida trip again this year. The weather was warm, the ocean was beautiful and we had 11 wonderful fun days in the sun!
Micah had a great time with the boogie-board. Here he is waiting for the waves to take him in the water. (Melbourne beach)
Both boys had more fun at the pool! Micah has learned now that he can jump in the deep in holding on to a noodle and swims all over the place with it. It makes me a little nervous and I feel like I can't take my eyes off him for a second. He has no fear!
Micah trying to catch a gecko.
I love this photo. Micah's new thing this trip was wanting to take photos and does quite well, actually. I love that the window captured the photographer in this one.

In Orlando at downtown Disney he loved being able to build with so many new pieces we've never seen before.
The Lego store has some pretty amazing pieces built. Even Lucas got a kick of walking around and seeing them all.
A fun restaurant that has an aquarium built all around it. Everywhere you looked (even above) you could see tropical fish.(Downtown Disney)
Our cute little villa. Brett and I refuse to stay in a hotel with a little toddler. Not worth it to share a room. This is the way to travel to ensure everyone gets a good nights sleep! Nothing fancy, but definitely cozy and perfect for what we needed.
Crazy about this man. Thank you so much for working so hard that we can take these fun trips! (An overcast morning walk.)
I adore this picture.
More fun in Downtown Disney
I opted out last minute of going to Disney World. We had pushed Lucas all week and never napped him. He was doing so well I didn't want to push our luck and I knew Brett and Micah would want to stay until the park closed. We got a day to catch up on some much needed R&R! Very excited about my decision. It was so wonderful to get to spend the entire day bonding with just him. Mommy/Lucas dates need to happen more regularly. I felt very spoiled.
Late night ice cream run.
The "one of a kind" Ron Jon surf and shop. I always forget how huge it is. They have lots of fun treasures to find. I love shopping there.
These boys are my world and made the trip so fun. They really made it pretty easy on us, and were amazing travelers. ("hot pool") :)
Cocoa beach watching surfers and grabbing lunch.
We had 7 days with just the four of us. Rex and Eileen overlapped their stay for our final four days. Rex let us cruise in his mustang.
Disney crew getting ready to head out.
Micah
and Brett had a fun-filled day at Disney: Buzz Lightyear (x3), Astro
Orbiter, Tomorrowland Speedway, Space Mountain, Mad Tea Party, Dumbo
(x3), Barnstormer (3x), Under the Sea- Journey of the Little Mermaid,
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Swiss Family Treehouse, Pirates of the
Caribbean, Jungle Cruise, People Mover (x3), Disney Railroad, Fireworks,
lemonade slushies, turkey leg, corn dogs. They started at 9am and went
until 11pm! Micah will never forget it. So special for them to be able to do it together. They are both theme park FREAKS! Brett, you got some of the best smiles from Micah that day!
SO cute!
We spent nearly everyday at the pool or the beach. Usually it was both!
Photo tradition
Too cute for his own good.
The best part of the entire trip was spending it with these boys. The family time means more than any adventure theme park or destination get-away. I love being with them, watching the boys interact with daddy everyday, not having to share Brett for 11 whole days! It was a pleasure to get to watch the little boys explore, learn, and experience new things. It makes me even more excited to think about trips in the future. I can only imagine how much easier it will get not traveling with a baby, and creating more memories TOGETHER! The pic above is also tradition. We started doing it when Micah was 8 months old and have one every year since!
Outside Grandmas condo
Morning walks were a staple for this trip. Get up and moving before it got too hot. Take in all the fresh yummy smells and admire all the beautiful scenery. We took many long walks along the beach too. The boys LOVED out running the waves. It was so cute to hear Luke's belly laugh.
Daddy could always make him giggle so cute pushing off the side of the wall and making him glide across the top of the water.
This kid was crazy in the water. He would sit and wait for waves to topple over him. Catch waves with his boogie-board, everywhere he went he was making new friends and getting into some kind of shenanigans. I'm pretty sure he would run miles on the beach each time we went. He slept so hard and well this entire week b/c he NEVER STOPPED GOING.
He is crazy for daddy.
Lucas and Brett
Beautiful view.
One of my favorites from the trip.
L.J's footprints.
My heart is full and thankful! (Satellite beach)
Growin' up.
The only kid I know set up with his own rapid rewards points.
Thanks Florida. You never disappoint!
