Happy Halloween and Reformation Day!!

Rejoicing that this is the day Martin Luther helped us rediscover that salvation is by faith alone through the grace of God,(not of works, lest any man should boast.)

The Reformation is heritage and our history, it's really easy for me to look past that and just focus on the cuteness of the costumes, and parties! 

I loved dressing the boys up this year. Micah made it easy on me and knew exactly what he wanted to be...BATMAN!! We couldn't have Batman with out his buddy, Robin. We had a jammed packed day of fun! It started out with Bible Study, going downtown trick or treating at daddy's work, meeting grandma for lunch (where the boys made it on the news..actually we all did, ha!), quick home for naps, then our traditional dinner at the Turners, a fast loop of trick or treating, and off to our church's Harvest Party.  The kids were absolute troopers, and Micah is still raving of all the fun. We let him stay up till 10pm passing out some of his candy he collected and he thought that was a riot! And as many of you know his Mr. Bubbles (his beloved goldfish) died last week, BUT he did win a betta fish, Finn at our church's party. He's pretty crazy about him...hopefully we'll have better luck!! :/

We weighed his candy on Brett's food scale..4.78lbs! NONE of which we bought. Yes, we do plan on giving some away!! :) (at Brett's work, the ladies were teaching him how to go in for "HAND FULLS", and basically let him empty their candy bowls...this definitely carried into last night's trick or treating...he couldn't quite grasp the concept of just pick one! ;)

I'm actually shocked how well this photo turned out, and thank you Braden for not dropping Luke! Such a good helper! What a group of cuties!

It looks like we've created a pattern over the last 4 years ...animal, super hero, animal, super hero...hmm looks like next year they'll have to pick some animal to keep the tradition going!
