This & That

"You will never have this day with your children again. Tomorrow, they'll be a littler older than they were today. This day is a gift. Breathe and notice. Smell and touch them. Study their faces and their little feet. Pay attention. RELISH THE CHARMS OF THE PRESENT. Enjoy today mama, it will be gone before you know it. -Jen Hatmaker

Since Micah is no longer napping I've been taking advantage of Luke's nap time to do some projects/schoolish type things with him. He seems to really enjoy it and has surprised me with how long of an attention span I've been getting from him. Any teacher friends I'd love ideas on more of what I can do with him...I have no idea where he should be academically. He can currently count to 20, but when counting real objects he seems to always over count things by 1...??? Knows and can identify the upper case alphabet (knows 50% of lower case), counts by 2's to 20, counts by 10's to 100, knows colors. Can only identify numbers up to 10.

My kitchen aid.

Luke's 1st attempt in the johnny jump up.

He seemed to have a ball in it and after 20 minutes started screaming bloody murder. HA! I have no idea what happened.

If you blow up the picture, you can see his "chicky hair" as I like to call it.

Bathing both boys at once..somewhat of a circus.

Classic, Micah "boxing" the duck and Luke totally oblivious but happy as can be.

  • Such cute pictures of darling boys. Sounds like Micah is doing great with his learning. Glad you're still able to find good one-on-one time with him! I'm sure that means the world to him!
