Waiting for HIM to lead us.

The economy has affected many people around us, and now it's our turn for the hit. As many of you already know Brett was laid off yesterday morning. We have known for a while his company has been struggling. Even though we knew it was a possibility for the layoff it was still a shock to have it 'actually' happening.

I'm not gonna lie, and pretend everything is honky-dory...it does suck (sorry mom). We are however seeing God's grace ALREADY in this situation. We are placing our feet firmly in His foundation, clinging to His truths. Still trying to grasp an ounce of how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ for us.

So thankful to have a close friend who also happens to be my old manager at the salon I worked at prior to having Micah. They've welcomed me back with open arms and I'm starting work on Monday! Thank you, thank you Lord!! We ask for prayers of peace, wisdom, guidance and trust. Thanks so much for the love and support that's already been showered upon us. We truly have the most AMAZING family & friends surrounding us. Love you all.

  • NOOOO!!!! We are so bummed to hear that, but we'll be praying for you guys! How neat that you can work during this time, how the Lord provides is awesome! Where are you going to be working and will you be doing girl's hair? ;)

  • So sorry to hear about Brett's job, but just know that the Lord is with you and He has a plan for it all. We are right there with you and know how hard it is. We must lean on the Lord at this time more than ever and trust in Him more than we ever thought we could. I am so glad you are able to go back to work. It will be neat for Brett and Micah to be able to spend time together. I will be praying for you to have faith in the Lord for His provisions which most often don't meet our expectations. How wonderful He knows better than we do!! Hang in there and this too shall pass!!!

  • Love and feel for you guys so much. I have been thinking about you non-stop and just praying that you find peace in Christ when peace is not understandable. I know He has given this to me lately in stressful times. Remember, this is not because God turned His head for a minute or slipped up, but for a real reason and it is given as an opportunity for your growth and betterment...embrace it! I know you know that, you guys have an awesome outlook. Praying for you on your first day back at work. Hope your back holds up and that you guys can adjust to a new schedule for a while.
