Mikey Butler 15 Months
I swore I would NEVER call you that, but it just seems to fit. However, if you grow up to hate it I promise I'll stop. You'll always be our "buddy", "Bubbaroo", & "Bub"...don't think you'll lose those ones kid. Sorry. I thought FOR SURE you would be cruising on your feet by now. I'm learning though you like to do things on you're own time, and I'm just fine with that. I've seen you walk across our entire living several times all on your own so I know you can do it...you just like to make a liar out of me. I'll catch you on camera....just wait. You F.L.Y on your knees though so I do understand (sort of) why you prefer to crawl vs. walk. Although my arms, and back will greatly thank you once you start this full-time walking business.
You spoil me big time as a mom. If you ever get brothers or sisters please, I repeat PLEASE teach them your ways. You are so laid back, eat everything I give you, sleep like a dream...this entire summer you've let me sleep till 9 or later. This morning you woke up at 10! I don't know if you play in your room early in the morning or how you can sleep in that late b/c you're in bed every night at 8pm. I'm sure people don't believe me but they can ask your Dad. He didn't start believing me till the weekends when we would be home on Sat mornings and sleeping till 9:30, and having to wake you up every Sunday to get to church on time! I wish I could take credit, but it's nothing I've done. I have NO clue what I'm doing with you and I feel sort of bad you're my rookie. Thankfully you seem to enjoy life, and that's all I care about for now. Thanks for being such a stud. Love you, Bud. (Oh yea, you won't lose that one either...pretty sure we never call you Micah.)

Oh geez. You make me sick with all the sleep you get. "Mikey" is such a blessing, to you guys as parents and to everyone who knows him! Don't just act like it's all luck, either, because you and Brett do an amazing job with him. Love that top picture of him, too!

What a sweet post! He just keeps getting bigger and bigger and cuter and cuter! I second what Anne said...you guys are great parents and can definitely take some of the credit for such a great son! P.S. LOVE the new carpet (at least the tiny bit I got to see). I need to come and see all the renovations in person, probably looks like a new house!!!

What a blessing your little Mikey is!!! He's such a ham, I just love all his smiley dimpley pictures and I am so glad I got to see him at Costco the other week. :) He is simply adorable and I want to die of his cuteness looking at him!
And cool about the carpet-can't wait til we can get some new carpet out here! I like your kind, ours is one solid color and you can see all the stains we've already put on it!
