Better Than A Hallelujah

So many people close to me are hurting right now. A sister who has been in the hospital with her sick son for over 32 days now, friends who lost their 4 day old baby this morning, mom-in-law who lost a dear friend to cancer over the weekend, a family who hasn’t had any income for the past 3 months, another family struggling to keep their house-- the list could go on and on. So many trials....not wondering why the Lord brings us through these trials…I know better than that. It’s not for me to wonder, but it does make my heart ache for them. Heard this song this morning and wanted to share. Love to you all.

Here’s the chorus:

We pour out our miseries
God just hears a melody
Beautiful the mess we are
The honest cries of breaking hearts
Are better than a Hallelujah

  • Thanks for the post, Shannon. Very encouraging. I can't believe the struggles some people are facing. And yet, God is so faithful. I think we take His goodness for granted until we are in a position to recognize our utter dependance on Him.
