Mommy hood
Wow, I know everyone says this but I honestly can not believe how FAST time is going and how BIG our sweet baby boy is getting! It seems like just yesterday I was holding Micah for the very first time in our hospital room admiring every perfect little feature God has given him.
The Lord has been providing for us in more ways then we could imagine. Brett's job (and sweet deal findings) allows me to be a stay at home mom....something I've always desired just never thought that it would be possible. Although sometimes on paper our finances don't add up...we have always had enough money to cover all expenses and more. God is SOO good.
Buddy is now 10 weeks old! He is doing more and more cute things everyday (although to his mommy EVERYTHING is adorable....he blinks and I go running for the camera)! His latest fascination is his tongue....resembling some sort of lizard. His coos are SO fun to hear.
I wish I could keep him this tiny forever! I just adore this baby stage and am already sentimental by how big he already is. I am savoring every minute I have with him. I treasure our mornings together after I've fed him and am done pumping (yes still exclusively pumping....:) )We snuggle together in bed. Feeling his warm body next to mine, and smelling his sweet baby smell...then his breaths start to get a little heavier and soon he is fast asleep in my arms SOO PRECIOUS. Even though I myself am a bit exhausted I can't help but stare at him for hours sometimes. Thanking the Lord for such a blessing. I pray for Micahs heart...that it would be soft and open to the Lord. That he will be one of the Lords children, and come to know his maker at an early age. I pray for his future wife that she too would love the Lord even more so than my son. I pray for his protection from this evil world, and that he would only find comfort and joy in eternal things, and find earthly things complete rubbish.
"Mommy hood" is no walk in the park nor did I expect it to be (even though I did have high expections). There are always bottles to be washed, pump equipment to be washed, diapers to be changed, soiled clothes to be soaked/washed, sacrafricing your nap time to pump...the work is nothing compared to the JOY one little smile from your baby can give you. 110% worth it! Bretty, ready for baby # 2 cause I'm pretty sure I am? ;)
