Sick Bug
I found this crazy bug in Maggie's swimming pool this morning. SICK! It could swim in the water and had some crazy looking fins. I was so obsessed with this thing that I burned my banana bread. $1 to the first person that can correctly identify what kind of bug this is......

I had these same bugs in my pool and when I wore some dark swimming shorts they would come afeter me. I am not sure if they bite, but i thought one did in the back just above the waste. If you find ouot what they are, I sure would like to know.

I think they're just kinda called water beetles, they're sick and make me wanna gag. I'm "researching" right now bc I have small ones in my pool along with some other bugs...ugh...starting to wonder if my pool is even worth it. Maybe it's a good thing summer is only 3 or so months. I did have 2 big ones like this one at 1 point and it was so gross, now I just have little ones and they swim after you if they see you. I am totally gag right now tho!

They are called diving beetles.
And they won't harm you. It's just a sign that your pool water is a bit polluted. So you need to add some chlorine to your pool if you want to keep them away.
